WELCOME JOSHUA GORHAM DENNIS

Born on Feb. 22, 2011 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital, Beaufort, SC. We went into the hosptial for our scheduled C-Section at 7am... the procedure took place at 9:45ish and everything went really well. He weighed in at 8 lbs. 4 oz., 20.25 inches long, and 14.75 inches cir. He is such a mild baby. We feel so very blessed to have our two boys, healthy and happy.

For those of you who don't know, Gorham is my maiden name and we decided to have one of our sons carry on not only the Dennis family name but the Gorham name as well. We are both so fortunate to have supportive families. We love and can't wait to see you when we move this coming April.

Internet is slow here... so more pics to come...

38 Weeks check-up

I went in yesterday for my pre-apt with Beaufort Memorial Hospital and my pre-apt with the doctor preforming the C-Section. Everything is about the same. She reminds me to take it easy and that I need to continue to time my contractions and monitor the baby's movement. I could go at any time. As of right now, we will still head to the hospital at 6:00 on Tuesday morning for the surgery and delivery of our sweet baby boy.

Any name suggestions???

I am starting to Walk (VIDEO)

Jax is still trying to get the hang of walking but is coming along. Here are a few vidoes of his attempts:) The most steps he has taken has been ten in a row so far!

Happy Valentine's Day

What a great day to be able to spend time with the people that matter the most in my life. I woke up to a wonderful/funny card from my sweetheart. I love you Jas!

I went to work, and came home to the house completely clean and flowers on the table. My two darling sisters are so thoughtful. Late that night, Jas surprised me by coming home just for the night and had to head back early early the next morning.

We bought each other a laptop (which we don't have a computer so this was needed) and a camera (which is on hold at the PX) for Valentine's Day; expensive right??? HEHE We are spoiled!

I also drew on the mirrors, something I got from my Mommy, and surprised everyone with Valentine's treats. We also ate Lettuce wraps for dinner and enjoyed each others company.

Bath Time with Cousin Tre

(BEWARE YOU SEE BABY BEHINDS!)

I think that more water ended up on the bathroom floor than stay in the bathtub. Tried to get pics of them looking at the camera, but based off the pics you know how that went!

Tre's First time at the Beach

This past Saturday, we took Cyndi, Sharee, and Tre to Hilton Head. It wasn't so terribly cold and Tre loved it! Here are just a few pics from that day.

37 week Check-up

Pic compliments of https://www.pinterest.com/pin/257057091201290672/?lp=true
Jason and I went into the doc yesterday for my 37 weeks check-up. Doctor said everything looks good, and I might go early (I went two weeks early with Jax). I am 2 to 3 cm. dilated and I am 50% effaced. He said the baby is easily 7 or 8 lbs. at this point. He did put me on travel restrictions, I can't go more than 30 minutes from the house. I am still planning on working until next Friday (Feb. 18th). I go in on the 15th for my pre-op with the doc and will post more then.

Life is getting really hectic and crazy, new baby, new duty station, moving to CA, and leaving behind all the wonderful things that the south has brought us. I am feeling a little stressed out about it all. I am so glad that I will be surrounded by family from both sides to help us through this:)

Just love this photo!!!

Jax's 1st Birthday Party

What a day! It all started off with a down pour! It rained all morning. I was thinking that no one would show up because the weather was so yucky. Boy was I wrong. We are so blessed with such great friends, not only for both of our work places but from church. We fit about 40+ people in our house... crazy. About 15 of those were children under the age of 5. Mad house, but so good for Jax!

Jaxs' party theme was "Barn yard Animals", so Jason and I dressed up a bit for the occasion (him more than me because NOTHING fits me!) And we dressed up Jax. He had a cowboy hat and new chaps from his Uncle Jeff and Aunt Ansley (which sadly he refused to wear most of the time; but it was so cute regardless), and new boots from Mommy and Daddy. The goodies and give away treats were also themed. We served Pig Muck (cheese dip), Pigs in a Blanket, Cow Pies (choc. treats), Hay Stacks (pretzels, Moo Juice (punch), Fresh Veggies from the "Garden" (AKA Walmart), and for dessert I made barn animal cupcakes (took me forever to decorate; but they turned out kind of cute I thought), and hamburgers and hotdogs.

Jax got to play with his friends, eat some pigs in a blanket, devour his birthday cake (while Daddy proceeded to give him "war paint"), played some more, opened TONS of new toys and gifts, and finally went down for a short nap.

It was such a wonderful day!
