Summer Storytime

The EFMP does story time very Friday this summer.  We were able to enjoy a few before we left for Texas.  Again, so thankful that they have activities for these kids!

9 years...really?  Time sure flies when life is so blissfully happy and wonderful doesn't it?  Here's to another great year full of adventures, laughs, and (as always with the military) the unexpected hehe.  Love you baby, forever and ever!

This is more of a journaling moment.... as many of you know, Linkin Park is my favorite band.  I have loved them since my Freshman year of college from their songs, lyrics, and involvement in film (Queen of the Damned and the Transformers series).  It literally broke my heart to hear the news about Chester   His voice was just so mesmerizing for me; he could reach such high notes and then gravitate to such low tones.  Loved their songs, each had a special connection for me.  Just loved each of their albums.  Was telling my Mom that this could be similar to when big lead singers are lost from well known bands....Jim Morrison from The Doors, John Lennon from the Beatles, Freddie Mercury from Queen, or Kurt Cobain from Nirvana (can you tell what I listen to?)... or yes even Chris Cornell from Soundgarden.  How he went was so deeply sad as well.  What really brings people to that point; where all hope and happiness is lost?  Thoughts to his family.... truly a sad time for the music industry.

Family Pictures 2017

This past week, we took our family pics for the year.  We wanted a relaxed shoot by the ocean, at our favorite family spot.  I truly am in love with the pics.  Living close to the ocean has been such a blessing.  It is just so calming and makes us feel better about everything.  The kids just love it, we thought it was fitting to have it here before we move.

Shooting Hoops....

We FINALLY got the kids the basketball hoop we have wanted to buy since Christmas with $ from Papa and Grammy.  The boys are LOVING the new hoop and wanna shoot every time we go outside.

Harry Potter Movie Night!

Over the span of a month and a half....the kids and I read over 6+ hours, completed 27 worksheets, completed their chapter drawing books....now onto our ABC books!

A HP movie feast.....licorice wands, "Bertie Botts" jelly beans, "lemon drops", Golden Snitches, and Popcorn

Before the movie, we had a Jeopardy game....the kids remembered WAY more than I thought they would!

Movie Fun

This past week, we enjoyed a free showing of The Secret Life of Pets.  Our friends, Brooklyn, Eleanor, and Amanda got to come.  While we were there, the boys saw many more of their friends.  It was awesome fun....not to mention running to the van after the movie....talk about downpour rain storm!

Swim Lessons Session 2

The kids participated in the second session of swim these past two weeks.  They have grown so much and are getting braver and braver.  We are so proud of them.  The boys passed and Sarajane passed.  So glad they were able to participate in swim prior to our move!
