Josh turns 1 month old!

Life has been a little crazy with moving and getting things ready that I haven't posted these pics yet. Josh turned one month March 22, 2011.

Josh continues to be a joy in our lives. Some facts about Josh is he held his head up for the first time at a week, he has started to smile at us, and (sadly) just recently has been a little sicky because of acid reflux:( He is alright though, taking some medicine and relaxing with Grandma and Grandpa Dennis. His current stats are:

Jax and his Shoes (VIDEO)

Jax HATES and I mean HATES wearing shoes and socks. Kind of funny story, but we were looking through our old shoes to see which ones would fix Josh now (we don't want him to be like Jax in that department) and Jax tried to put shoes on by standing up. And these shoes mind you, maybe fit his toes!!! It was SOOooo funny! But we have to give him some credit for at least attempting right?

Gardening with Grandma Dennis

Jason, Dad, Mom, and Jax worked outside today. Jax was eager to play Grandma, it was so sweet:)

Jax's First Haircut

Since I am a real big baby about my own baby, I wanted to hold off as long as I could on getting his hair cut. Call me weird but getting a first haircut is a sign of growing up and I am not to hip on the idea of him growing up; I know it is inevitable though:( On March 23, 2011, we went to Nonnie's for his hair cut. He did such a good job, Daddy was real good at keeping him preoccupied. He looked so much older afterward, but still just as handsome!

St. Patrick's Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day from the Dennis Irish Twins! We enjoyed some potatoes and some traditional Irish Soda Bread to celebrate.

Mommy's Robe

For Christmas, Jason got me a robe. I loved it and was so excited to wear to it. To my surprise, Jax was also excited! I wore the robe Christmas Eve and that was it! Since then, Jax has to have it before he goes to bed. He curls up with it and starts sucking his thumb (that is when we know he is ready for bed). It is the only time that Jax sucks his thumb and gets clingy to anything.

Growing up too fast... (VIDEO)

Jax started walking right around 1 yr. and since then, he has been quite the little walker. Jas and I took him to a track meet yesterday, and he was showing off a bit. Also, we just recently got him off the bottle. He is officially a sippy cup boy:) We are so proud of him!

Josh's first Bath (pics are from my phone... so they aren't good:(

Josh had his first bath with Daddy on Tues. Josh was like Jax in the sense that once he could use to the water, he LOVED it. Getting out wasn't too much fun though.

The Diaper Life...

Jax: size 6 and Josh: size N/1..... I go through at least 8 diapers a day with Josh and at least 5 with Jax. So here is the math (and granted it may be wrong but you get the idea of how many diapers we change in a year; I'm sure some of you can relate!)

13 x 7(days) = 91

91 x 4(weeks) = 364

362 x 12 (months) = 4,368 diapers in a year!!!

1 Week old

I am a little behind in blogging, but here is Josh's stats at one week.

Weight: 7 lbs. 14 oz.
Height: 21.25 inches

He is doing real well. Already wanting to hold his head up! We just recently went in for his two week apt. Here are the updated stats.

Weight: 8 lbs. 10 oz.
Height: 22 inches

75% percentile across the board.

ICE CREAM TIME

A TRADITION IN THE DENNIS FAMILY IS TO GIVE THE NEWBORN HIS/HER FIRST TASTE OF ICE CREAM WHEN THEY ARE BORN. AS ALWAYS, JASON WAS REAL EXCITED. JOSH'S REACTION WAS PRICELESS!
