Boys will be boys....

Jason always tells me that the boys will be boys, they'll play rough and get hurt throughout their life; it is inevitable.  Well, I have thought about this, and frankly I DON'T LIKE IT.  Yesterday while Jax was at daycare, he cut his finger on a lead crystal vase.  Looking at the cut, I thought he needed more attention, so off to the ER we went.  He got the "royal" treatment; Popsicle and stickers galore.  They put some really tacky bandage on it and put it in a splint.  He has to wear it for 7-10 days.  He is doing great and handling it well.  Mommy  needs to get a reality check about "Boys will be boys".

Life is truly Precious

These past few weeks have made me realize how much I appreciate this life that I have been given.  The wonderful family that raised me and lead me along the way.  The dear friends I have and for the many talks of love and support we've shared throughout the years.  And most importantly for my sweet husband and children.  I have truly been so blessed to have had such amazing people in my life.

Understanding... (VIDEO)

It is taking the boys (more so Josh than Jax) to realize they have to be easy with Mommy- especially around her tummy.   A few nights ago, Jax was talking about "Mommy' baby".  So I pulled up my shirt and told him that the baby is in Mommy's tummy.  He then proceeded to kiss my tummy, and shortly after Josh caught on and started saying "Hi" and patting my tummy.  I had to get it on tape.  Too cute!

Brushing teeth

Just wanted to add how proud I am of my kids for WANTING to brush their teeth everyday!  It is rare when kids "get into" brushing their teeth.  Luckily, mine want to more than twice a day:)  Way to start early boys!!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

For St. Patrick's Day, the boys woke up and had lucky charms as they watched Mickey's Mouse (special episode about finding the treasure and the end of the rainbow).  We played and later Papa and Auntie Cyndi came over for lunch.  We napped and in between playing and dinner I took a few pics of our little Irish twins.  I love the hug picture; "Hug me, I'm Irish".  Then Mom and Cyndi came over for a traditional Irish dinner; Corned Beef, Colcannon (mashed potatoes with kale), and Irish Soda Bread.  I think that it was a good day celebrating our heritage:)

Snowing

+This weekend we got some wonderful big snowflake like snow.  So the boys and I went outside for about 30 minutes to play.  They loved it and were REALLY mad at Mommy when they had to go in.  Gotta love Colorado snow sometimes.

12 Weeks...

This past week I had my 12 week ultrasound.  Baby is doing great!  It was seriously a comedy of errors.  The ultrasound took over an hour because each time the sonographer tired to get the baby in a different position to get a measurement, the baby when then turn the opposite direction so we would see his/her face.  The baby was VERY active and busting some moves!  The office had on old 70's rock and Michael Jackson came on, and I couldn't help but think of my friend Ashley who loves MJ and the older stuff.  Baby's heart rate was 161 BPM and all measurements look great.  I have gained a full pound since I found out I was pregnant.  Next apt will be at 16 weeks and next ultrasound will be at 20 weeks.  Jason and I want this one to be a surprise, so any guesses yet?  HEHE

How I found out...

Some of you have asked how I found out I was pregnant.  I was on retreat with the Student Council kiddos up at Estes Park.  The whole weekend I was feeling terrible, cough, chills, etc.  I was anticipating Mother Nature that weekend and when she did not show up I blamed it on me being sick and stressed.  Regardless, when we got back to Elizabeth, I went to Walmart and purchased some tests just in case.  I took the test in Walmart put in a bag and thought I would look later. To my surprise and five tests later.... our newest little bundle will arrive in Sept.  We are truly blessed to have two healthy boys and a new one on the way.  We couldn't be happier!
