Scary story

The air was cool and the sky dark. I had just arrived home and felt like something was a miss. I walked through the front door to find the oven light on but no one in sight. “Hello is anyone there?” But no response. I walked upstairs and repeated my words with no reply. The stairs creaking were the only noise I could hear. I began to breathe heavy and wonder, where is everybody? Then it dawned on me, they went on a walk. I sighed relief as I walked back downstairs. Buy something still felt off. As I approached the fridge to get a drink I could hear a small creepy voice. I couldn’t make out the words but it made my heart just jump. If there was a mirror in front in my face, I’m sure it was white as a ghost. I took a few steps toward the garage door and heard it again. This time I could hear something coming from the laundry room. Taking a deep breathe I slowly opened the door. Inch by inch I looked very carefully in the room. It was pitch black and I couldn’t make out much. I flipped the light switch and then…..let out the loudest scream. It was my worst nightmare. They were everywhere and nothing could stop it. What loomed in the room was just piles upon piles of laundry. It was just awful and had never felt so frightened in my whole life. I thought this was the end. How would I possibly make it through this. Then the family came through the front door covered in saltwater and sand and gave me a sinister smile and said, We’re back.
