Church Trunk or Treat

Last night, we took the kids to the church Trunk or Treat.  Surprisingly there was a lot of people there.  They had food and games inside and the Trunk or Treat in the first two rows of the parking lot.  The boys, after the first couple of cars, got REALLY into it.  In fact we were the ones trying to catch up with them.  Both would say "trick or treat" when we would get up to the car.  Jax was VERY polite and said thank you (said it sometimes twice) after receiving his treats.  Josh would reply, "OK bye see you later (a few times he added in Happy Halloween to his goodbyes).... then he would say "OK Daddy let's go to this one (as he was heading to the next car)" almost EVERY time.  It was too cute.  Sarajane was sleepy so she spent most of the time in her stroller just chillin.  Jax wanted to dress up as a pirate (same costume from last year), Josh "dressed" up as a knight (he didn't want his whole costume on and I wasn't going to fight with him), and Sarajane was a cowgirl (she refused to wear the hat, I should have known better right?).  They received SOOOooo much candy that we may not need to go out a lot this evening.  Tonight the boys will be ghosts and SJ will be a cat (warmer costumes).  Post to come!

Last few pics turned out a but blurry but still wanted to post some of Sarajane.

Halloween Playgroup Party

We have playgroup every week.  Sometimes we can make it, other times we can't.  As ladies, we try to have a festive party for the kids for the month's that have a holiday.  We had some very inventive Halloween treats and crafts, it was so fun! Here are some pics from our "Spooky/Crazy" gathering!

Jax wanted to dress up as a pirate, Josh not so much.

There are so many babies SJ age, so much fun!

SJ was a Cat; I had he ears, tail, and bow tie from another costume

I dressed up as a nerd... which Jason tells me is easy to pull off..haha

Carving/Painting Pumpkins 2014

Here is what the Dennis family came up with for this year's artistic expression for Halloween.

Happy 33rd Birthday Jason

Luckily, Jason was able to come home before his birthday.  We had a fun Sunday celebrating.  First the kids and I made him his favorite breakfast.  We ate and got ready for church.  This is Sunday was the primary program, so Jason got to hear Jax give his part.  He did so good!  He sat the whole time and had his part memorized. (which was "Jesus Christ is our Savior")  After church, we came home and ate lunch, Jason had to go right after because he provides the sacrament for the soldiers on base that can't leave; most of which are here from another location and are training.  He came home and we carved/painted pumpkins (post to come).  We ate his favorite dinner; chicken, mashed potatoes, broccoli, and french bread.  We opened his present and sand happy birthday with one of his favorite desserts; filled choc. cupcakes which Jax helped me make the day before.  It was a wonderful day!  Happy Birthday baby I love you!
Before church.... this was a hurried pic, so the lighting is stinky!
The kids made Jason a Massage Shirt for his birthday!

I think Jason enjoyed enjoyed being pampered!

Proud of my Daddy

My Dad retired a year ago and accepted a coaching position at Colorado State University-Pueblo (which use to be Southern Colorado State University where he went to college and played baseball).  These pics were taken at his WIN this past weekend.  So sad I wasn't able to make it, but so very glad that my family was able to make it!

Library Spook-tacular

On base they had a "haunted library" for kids 0-12.  The had a haunted maze where they kids got little treats and they had crafts for them to complete.  We were running late and I had to come up with quick costumes.  The boys were football players, Sarajane a princess, and I was a coach.  The kids had a lot of fun and were so excited about what was going on that I didn't get many pics of them inside.  I am so glad that the base has kid friendly activities.

I am so enthused I can't contain my smile... sarcasm:)

Memorial

Just recently a teacher passed away suddenly from the high school my Mom works at.  It was so sad and devastating for the school.  He was a valued SPED teacher who brought so much to the school.  My Mom sent me this picture of what the school did today.  It was a PINK out in honor of breast cancer awareness but the teacher who passed students were asked to wear RED.  They roped off an area outside the front of the school in the shape of the breast cancer ribbon.  But in the middle they formed a heart with the students of that teacher.  If you look closely you can see the heart of RED and the remaining student body surrounding them in PINK.  I got a little emotional, I thought it was so special what they did I had to blog it.

Saying Goodbye to Bridgeport

Jason finished training today and leaves tomorrow to come home.  But before he could leave, he had to savor the area one last time.  He truly LOVES it up there.  So glad that even amid his training he was able to enjoy himself:)
