Sarajane's new "ride"

Grandma and Grandpa Dennis bought Sarajane a cute little new ride:)  It vibrates and plays songs to help soothe her to sleep.  We tried it out yesterday and she seems to really like it, despite the fact that she does not fit in it (not yet anyway.)

Big Brothers

Jax and Josh are such good big brothers.  They always want to hold and kiss her.  When she is older, the older boys need to watch out:)

Grandma and Grandpa Dennis came for a visit (more pics to come)

After my Mom and Sis left, Jason's folks came down to see the new baby.  They also helped out a TON with the boys and the house.  We are truly blessed to have such great family!  Thanks Mom and Dad, we REALLY appreciate all that you do!

Sarajane's first bath at home

The day she turned a week old her umbilical cord came off, so we were able to give her a full bath.  Jason got in with her (he likes taking baths with the kids when they were little) as I washed her up.  At first she was ultra relaxed and made a "O" with her mouth, but as we got going she fussed a little bit.  Sarajane really doesn't cry all that much, but when we took her out and started to put lotion on her, it was the loudest I've heard her cry since birth.  She eventually calmed down, nursed, and was out for the count!

Sarajane is a Week old

Yesterday, our sweet Sarajane turned a week old.  I seriously could not believe it has been a week.  Our last "visit" to the doc. office was Monday morning (two days ago) and the she weighed 6 lbs. 11 oz.  Here daily routine is... wanting to nurse all day with maybe two LONG naps and at night I will nurse her at 11, have to WAKE HER UP AT 3/4  to nurse again, and then have to WAKE HER UP AT 7 to nurse again.  If she had her way she would sleep through the night but the doc wants her to gain more weight before her two week apt on Oct. 2.  She is sweet a good baby and sweetheart!  What a blessing she is in our lives.

Being silly BEFORE the birth of SJ

Many of you know that this blog is like my journal.  I try and put things in it that not only my family would enjoy seeing, but what I want to remember looking back.  Here is a pic of Jason and I before Sarajane was born.  I was real nervous and he had a way of calming me down.

Fruit

Our dear friends the Adams family came over the day after Sarajane was born and brought over diapers (which are always needed) and a fruit arrangement that she made herself.  It was truly one of the best gifts ever!  Thank you so much Tammy!
