Sarajane just recently discovered that if Daddy doesn't shave (which rarely happens) he has scruffy chin .  She wanted to touch it while at church this past Sunday. Too cute!

Journey

Just a funny little aside. While we traveled from NC to TX and even now as we get settled in TX....each time we turn on the radio or put on Pandora, we hear the band Journey. We have heard their songs so many times now that it has turned into a joke. "So what band is this?"....." Journey right?"  We both think that is is rather fitting seeing as we are on quite the journey ourselves.

Welcome to TX

Yesterday after school, we decided to go exploring around the Twin Buttes and lake area. We came across this beauty as we ventured aroun. Yep we're in Texas officially!

Cars 3 mania (VIDEO)

Has anyone else struggled with finding Jackson Storm?  Well, our family has.  Josh has been obsessing about this car since Cars 3 came out.  We weren't able to track it down either, apparently it is in high demand.  Well, as we headed out from NC, Jason saw the car in the pack at Walmart.  So he bought it and we decided we would give it to the kids as reward for having an awesome first week of school (which they had a WONDERFUL week with no issues at all).  They were really happy and have been playing with their new cars since this morning!  Great find Dad!

Moving Woes

Moving cross country is not with its ups and downs.  House hunting has been OVERLY exhausting and frankly VERY frustrating. There are hardly any rentals and even less within our budget...ugh! Luckily Jason has some quality friends that he works with.  One of them has so generously opened his home to us while we figure out the whole housing situation.  He has a bigger home and that practically empty, which allows the kids the room to play and sleep without having to worry about the hotel do's and don'ts.  We are very thankful to this gentlemen.  Keep your fingers crossed that our housing situation will be figured out soon!  Will keep you all posted once we get an address!

Jax and Josh First Day a Bonham Elementary School

Today was the boys first day of school at their new school Bonham Elementary; they are the Rattlers.  They were both kinda nervous about making new friends, but both seemed to jump right into the groove of things.  Jax will have Ms. McGee and Josh will have Mrs. Moeller.  Both were super friendly and eager to get to know that boys.  I should be over this by now, but I couldn't help but tear up when we dropped them off.  Here's to a good first day boys!

So yesterday, we celebrated our sweet little Sarajane's 4th birthday.  She is our shining light and the root of our continued smiles.  She does make life truly so sweet and wonderful.  Happy Birthday sweet girl, we love you beyond compare!

A HUGE thank you to all who sent birthday wishes....it made her feel super special!


We took her out to lunch....her choice was Buffalo Wild Wings....the server brought her a HUGE chocolate cake and ice cream ON THE HOUSE!  Super thoughtful!

Kids Kingdom

So San Angelo has a few really neat parks that we wanted to check out.  Kids Kindgom was first on the list.  A lot of the park was done by the students at the college.  Super fun for make believe and HUGE!  There were also some really beautiful art pieces along the way.  It was good to get away from the hotel and house hunting for a bit.

So we pulled the van ALL this way to TX to have this happen....

Everyone is ok and the accident wasn't bad, but still really?  Guess the van needs a makeover anyway right?  The boys really didn't know what happened but SJ was the most distraught.  She cried and told her Daddy that he broke her car and that we need a new one, a pink one no less hehe!

So of course this would happen....

So while Jax and Josh were playing in the pool, Jax sneezed and caught his tooth on the wall, chipping it.  Yeah so dentist here we come!

Hotel Stay End

So when we got to TX, the Inn on base did not have room, so we were able to stay at a nicer hotel tax free!  So for 8 more days, we stayed in this room.  If we weren't out looking for homes or the area in general, the kids were at the pool.  Tight quarters but we made the best of it.  I know that the kids just loved it and had a blast!
