Journal Moment.... Remembering Jack Smith

I wanted to blog this more so that I have it in the future.  This past week, We/I lost a VERY dear coach.  He was such a HUGE part of Rifle and what teaching/coaching was all about.  I am so thankful for his smiles and mentor ship.  He was a ray of sunshine and someone who I looked up to.  He coached up until the moment he could not; this past season!!!  He coached golf and walked ALL the holes of play.  DEDICATION!!  I was so blessed to have had him as a coach and known him as a person.  He will be missed but NEVER forgotten.

Lovely memory of him was if you spotted him, he came over and acted like he was giving you a low high five or shaking your hand.... instead he smiled big and put a piece of candy in your hand:)  His FAVORITE and the one I remember the most was Werther's Original.
Pic compliments of  google

What happens at well visits!

So I took the boys in for the well check ups (they both have bdays in Feb.).  This is what happens when you try and focus on what the doc is saying and you give Jax your phone.....

Boys stats to follow in upcoming posts:)

Free Day at the Aquarium

On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, that Aquarium at Pine Knolls was open to the public.  They were doing a canned food drive as admission.  Since the kids had no school, we decided to go.  We had been once before but wanted to take a closer look at some of the things we might have missed.  Jax REALLY loved the sharks and jellyfish.... Josh LOVED the sting rays.... and SJ just LOVED watching the fish.  We met up with friends of ours and had a good time.  We got there roughly after it opened up, so glad we did because by the time we left..... cars were parking MILES from the entrance!   Craziness!

Jax LOVES taking pics.... had to take a selfie before we left

Jax also drew this before we left.... what he wanted to see while there:)

She loved seeing the fish:)

Sarajane actually took this pic

Such love:)

 Touching the sting rays

This was a huge highlight for Jax.... the divers and Sharks

Mouth wide open!

Jax kept asking to make it puff out!
 Was a good family day!

We woke up Monday morning to our first "frost".  Had to show my CO family that we DO get colder weather here.  HEHE
