Girls Camp Videos
One night, the girls put on skits for the whole camp using church themed songs that were mimicing new upbeat tunes. Here is what our girls came up with and the Stake Leaders. It was too funny, as you can tell with my laughter in the background.

Girls Camp 2012
About three months ago I was called to serve as the Ward Camp Director. Since that time, we have been planning and anxiously waiting for camp to come. This years' theme was SuperHeroes "Arise and Shine Forth". So for the whole camp, I planned "super hero" themed devotionals and handouts. This year, camp was at Big Bear, Ca. It was so beautiful. It definately was not like how camp was for me when I was younger. The camp site had A-Frames (that is whay I slept in with the girls), a few cabins, and a lodge. We had showers and indoor toilets. (I actually got to take a bath in one of the cabins after the long 5 mile hike.) Luckily, Jason was able to take time off of work and his folks were able to come up for a visit and help out when they could. There were so many spiritual things that took place at camp. The first night, we have a VERY spiritual meeting regarding the 100 years of Girls Camp. It was a lighting ceremony with 100 lights representing each year and the "light of Christ in us". Throughout the week, the we partipated in a variety of activities; numerous ways to journal, service project (made hats and bows for Cancer patients at Loma Linda), went and played on the lake, took a ski lift to our 5 mile hike, had many devotionals and song time, put on skits, had testimony meeting, and concluded our stay. It was a great time for me, a great time to reflect. I missed the boys so much though. Jason and his folks did come up for an afternoon, which was SOOO nice. I am so thankful that I had this opportunity. I love these girls and am so grateful for their example and light.
