A day at the Park (VIDEO)

Yesterday, Jax seemed like he wanted to go outside. Each time we let Magic out or we went ourselves to check mail or take out the trash, he seemed to follow. When we would shut the door, he would just burst out crying. So Jason and I decided to take him to a park (not really a park, but we have an elementary school near our house with jungle gyms). He LOVED the swings! Jason also loves to throw Jax up in the air, and Jax laughs so much when he does. Yet again, another reason why Jason is such a good daddy... he loves playing with Jax. (Earlier he and Jax were playing with Lincoln Logs)

Snow in South Carolina? Can it be?

YES... for the second time in almost 15 years, South Carolina received snow. It lasted over the span of about three hours. It stuck just a little and was estimated about .6 of an inch. For Jason and I, it was awesome! It was so funny because in CO it was in the 60's and in CA it was in the 60/70's! We were just CHILLIN in the 20's! On Sunday's, we take nap after church and lunch. Jax woke up first, then I did. We went into the kitchen for a snack and I looked outside and saw that it was snowing! I ran back into the bedroom to wake up Jas and he and Jax, so excited, ran out the front door to see what was going on. They were only out for maybe a minute or two. They both were so excited, they didn't seem to mind the cold weather. Who says you can't have the best of both worlds?

Merry Christmas 2010

This was quite the Christmas this year! We had a couple of bumps in the road. Jax woke us up at about 6:30, and we let him talk up a storm for about ten minutes before we went and got him from his crib. I was just getting out of bed when Jason came back into the room and said, "There is poop everywhere!" Jax had managed to poop outside of his diaper, got it all over the crib, sheets, blankets, the wall, and on the monkey carpet in his room. It was absolutely FABULOUS. So in the tub he went! After we got that cleaned up, it was time for opening presents. Jax crawled out to a blow up ball gym and Red Flyer Covered Wagon from Santa. AS he enjoyed his new toys, we looked through out stockings and started to open some presents. We are so very thankful to our family and close friends who sent us presents! We love you and miss you! To mention a couple of items we received:

Jason: shirt, cologne, a few movies, a CD,remote control car, tools, CARS stuff, gift cards, and a Dennis Family Travel's World with pins marking our living locations and travel destinations.

Saundra: kitchen utensils (for my new pan set I received for out Sealing Anniversary), a ton of movies (Indiana Jones Quad set yeah!), gift cards, and a ton of pampering items (which what pregnant woman would turn down?)

Cyndi: perfume, facial pampering items, The Last song with a coupon that we would take her where it was filmed, and some more movies and clothes.

Jax: blow up ball gym, Red Flyer Covered Wagon, a TON of toys, books, and clothes (thank you everyone!)

Baby Boy Dennis: I made Jax and him matching blankets, I made him his blessing blanket, I made him and Jax bibs, he got some clothes, and a few toy type items.

Magic: New bowl set with carpet, treats and more treats!

We also got a few family games; one in memory of Grandma Trimm!

Our Christmas was wonderful and we feel totally blessed to have this season and for the birth of our Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ. Hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas. Take care and God Bless!

Christmas Eve 2010 (VIDEO)

This was our Jaxers first Christmas. For the past two days he has been just wired! Not sure what is going on, but he he just excited about everything. First, Jax got to open up a gift from Grammy; it was Twas the Night Before Christmas that had movable pictures in it. We LOVED it thanks Mama/Grammy!

For Christmas Eve dinner we had a roast, mashed potatoes, asparagus, rolls, and a relish dish. We did this last year and it turned out awesome. Here is the recipe, I recommend it!

We set up a fire (and Jax was just enthralled with the fire by the way), sang/whistled a few Christmas tunes, watched the Grinch, opened our Christmas Eve presents (Cyndi got some warm socks, I received some warm socks and a cute robe that will come in handy when this baby arrives, and I made Jax and Jason matching green PJ pants with CARS trim at the bottom), read Twas the Night Before Christmas, and read from Luke. Jax was getting real tired at this point so put him to bed and decided to relax for the rest of the evening. Jason and I played chess twice (I won both times)and then we played six rounds of Scattergories with Cyndi. We went out to bed, Jason and I watched The Nativity and went to bed. It truly was a wonderful night.

Lunar Eclipse December 21, 2010 (Winter Solstice)

Cyndi and I got up at 2:30 is see the lunar eclipse. Of course it was dark and my camera isn't the best, so the pics did not turn out great, but still it was a site to see. What you don't see on the pics was how red the moon really was. They said on the news that we would not have another lunar eclipse until 2094. It was a once in a lifetime thing, and we were so glad just to witness it.

Father and Son

The picture says it all. I melt each time I watch Jax with his Daddy. Jason is such a wonderful father, I couldn't ask for anything more!
