Maui Relief (VIDEO)

On Friday, the big kids and I headed down to Honolulu Store Warehouse to help sort items that we will be sending to Maui.  This was facilitated by the ASYMCA.  What a great way to provide service.  It was so tremendous the number of donated items.  Love is super real and there is more good going on than we realize.  Continued prayers for Maui and all those affected.

Got a lil Chick fil A;)

A tale of RSV

When I returned from CO, James was starting to feel kind of icky.  Come Tuesday afternoon he had started to get a dry cough.  We tended to it the like we would with a normal cough, but it got really bad while at Preschool plus at fever now of a 102. So I ended up taking him to Urgent Care.  They told me it wasn't COVID related and said there was no reason to test for Flu or RSV.  They recommended I give him Benadryl to get him to rest.  We came home and continued to try and help him the best way we knew how.  Jason stayed home the next day and was able to schedule an apt with his PCM that day.  When I got off of work, I took him in, sadly the doctor there expressed concern with his oxygen levels, which were at 92/93, so she recommended we take him straight to the Tripler ER.  We were seen right away where he received medicine and an IV.  The doc told us to stay home for a few days while the contagious phase wore off.  During his recovery, he was coughing so bad that he couldn't keep anything down.  We could start to notice that our lil guy was not acting like himself.  It took time, rest, and plenty of Sippy's for him to be on the mend.  About a week and a half after going to the ER, James was FINALLY starting to act like himself.  We are so appreciative of the love and prayers during this time.  There were several moments of just flat-out scariness but we are so thankful for the Priesthood and the healing powers that come with it.  James is now back to playing and being his normal self.
