EFMP Night #3: Tae Kwon Do (VIDEOS)

Tonight was probably a favorite of Jax.... he really enjoyed the evening.  I was thoroughly impressed with the instructor.  It was so wonderful being able to attend these mini sessions for the kids.  Thanks EFMP!!

The Velveteen Rabbit (play)

On Saturday, I took the kids to go and see The Velveteen Rabbit at the base theater.  ECU put it on for the military families.  It was really well done and the kids loved it.  Jax laughed throughout the whole play.  The highlight for Josh was seeing all the planets (as part of the pretend portion of the story)... he named them out loud so EVERYONE could here.  He also kept saying, "I wanna go up in the play, I wanna go up in the play."  He wanted to play with the characters so bad he couldn't stand it.  Sarajane is 2 so naturally she sat in intervals but overall did a great job.  It was a fun afternoon outing and I'm so glad that we went:)

Waiting for the show

Still waiting

Our friends Jerry and Chelsea came too

On with the show...

The rabbit wants to be real....

After the show, the kids wanted a pic with the "boat" from the story.  Sarajane actually gave him a hug and I missed taking a pic!!!

The whole cast came out later for a group pic.... I took this on the way out

Fall Leaves 2015

I couldn't help but wanna post all these pics.  Playing in the leaves was part of our bucket list, but I went a little overboard with the pics that it merited its own post:)  I LOVE the fall and winter time ever since I was a kid.  Love the cool and cold it brings along with the wonderful colors and holidays.  To me, it is the best time of year (Sept.-Feb.).

We walked from our house to a near by "field", racked up some leaves, and had some fun.  The kids REALLY enjoyed it (as if you couldn't tell).  Happy Fall:)

Movie Night (VIDEO)

On Friday, the base theater was showing Hotel Transylvania 2.  The kids haven't been to the movie theater a lot and with Jason being gone I was gambling on whether the kids would be good.  I was super nervous.  However, the cool part about this whole thing was that this theater had "crying" rooms for mothers with kids under age 4.  It was a small room (sound proof) that had an open window and speakers.  So we could see and listen to the movie without disrupting others.  It was the coolest thing ever!  Jax sat still the whole time and enjoyed the movie; such a good boy.  He said he loved the movie but wants to go again with just Daddy (what a Daddy's boy!).  Josh has a hard time sitting still, so he was up a lot but wasn't really disruptive.  I was glad that we had that separate room only because Josh needed more space.  Sarajane sat on my lap most of the time and only had one minor incident; she spilled her sippy cup all over me (no worries it was just water though:)).  All in all I would say that our movie experience was a HUGE success.  I can't wait to go again and utilize this "hidden treasure".

(With this video, I was trying to get the kids all excited for watching the movie.... they totally took over:)  So cute!)
