Interchangeable Wreath

So after much debate, I decided to make one wreath for the whole year and have parts that attach depending on the month/season/holiday. This will help me save on storage instead of having 5 wreaths, I will just have one. So I'm starting off with Oct. (HALLOWEEN).

So the wreath itself is wire and wrapped around the frame is burlap.

First....I got little touches at the Dollar Tree and manipulated them to how I like. I then glued clips on the back of each piece so that they can be put on/taken off easy. Here is the result.

So sadly we live on the surface of the sun and heat just beams at our front door. When Jax went to take trash out, he saw that most items on the wreath had melted off (the glue) yeah it was that hot. I used a Hobby Lobby glue too! So scratch that idea and now I am using wire to attach clips to items...no more glue. The sign was destroyed but I figured I could still use it if I was to wrap ribbon around it. I think it works.

Such a comedy of errors, but I do like the end result;)

Open House; Belaire (VIDEO)

On Monday, the boys had their school's Open House. They just love their new school and are liking their teachers. They have been working so hard, we are very proud. Keep it up boys!

A sidenote....before this evening we (teacher, principal, student, and parent) filled out a puzzle piece with our hope's and dreams for the student/our child. It was SO touching to hear what they had to say about Jax and Josh! They will put all the pieces together and make a huge collage, should be super neat and what a way to inspire these kids!

As a school, they are reading The One and Only Ivan; such great moral and touching story!

Here is Jax teacher Mrs. Land

Going to meet P.E. teacher was very eventful, she had games all set up...clever!

She was trying so hard!

Before and After

Sarajane was super excited for her pictures. I took both these pics before and after the shoot. It gave me a good laugh!

Here she decided beforehand she needed to do her own makeup. Kudos for a solid effort! Love the accent of the "beauty mark" too!

And now she is spent! Fell asleep in car and didn't move much after I put her to bed.

Sarajane 5 Year Pics and Stats

(NOTE: This photo shoot was super special to us.  We were lucky enough to have a dear friend who prepped a very friendly and sweet horse for the occasion.  I made the unicorn horn while Kim did the special touches for the photo set-up.  She also helped with the horse as I took the pictures.  Think they turned out just wonderful!  Sarajane is super photogenic!  Between the two of us, we took almost 150 pictures!  It was hard choosing our favorites.)

Sarajane is just our ray of sunshine.  She is such a light in our family, we could not picture our lives without her.  She loves to be the center of attention or rather affection!  She is doing great at PreK and is learning so much.  She knows all her colors, letters, and shapes.  She is really getting good at writing her name.  She is ALWAYS surrounded by friends....old and young.  She loves to socialize and play.  Some of her favorites are being outside with her brothers, playing in the dirt with Mommy (gardening) and also cooking (she wears a special chef hat whenever she cooks), loves alone time with Daddy where she is SPOILED!  We look forward to seeing what the next year brings!
