Storytelling with Feelix the Fox

Today during sensory reading time they had a special guest name Feelix the Fox come and visit with the children. They read a few books then went on a fox hunt to find Feelix in the library both boys were so excited to see Feelix, Sarajane not so much.  I am so glad that the EFMP does such a wonderful job with these children that need a little extra TLC and make it so fun and educational for them. Today they talked about feelings hence why "Feel"ix the Fox was there to greet them.

The library on base is closing up their reading program for the summer (we will continue to read until school starts. ) The kids ended up reading 600 minutes for the month of July.  They did such a great job! Today after storytime, they went and got their prizes;)  Reading is good!

Happy 8th Wedding Anniversary Baby!

Happy Anniversary(yesterday) to my one and only.  Love you baby forever and ever.  You make me laugh daily and always manage to keep me smiling no matter what.  Thanks for being my support and constant source of love and care.  Here's to many more my baby!

Pioneer Day Social 2016

Tomorrow is Pioneer Day, and our Ward celebrated with a pig pickin'.  They had a pie eating contest (which I got weaseled into doing; yeah I wasn't happy), corn husking contest, made butter, and enjoyed a good lunch filled with a pig roast.  It was a good day having fun, but also remember the Saints and their sacrifices to have what we do today.

Friday, they had the end of summer reading party (it doesn't end until August 1st though for the reading part) at the library.  They had games and pizza for the kids.  It was a fun evening out to celebrate their reading accomplishments thus far!

Good Saturday

Yesterday was a fun day for our family, aside from the crazy lightening storm.  Josh got to go his one of his friends bday parties; they were in preschool and haven't seen each other since May.  He had such a great time playing with his friends, he really didn't want to leave!  Later, we went as a family to see "Finding Dory", super cute and so much fun.  Jax and Sarajane really enjoyed it.  Josh said that there were parts that scared him but it was good, ha!  I would say that isn't too bad for a Saturday!
