On Monday, Jason went with Sarajane and her class to Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum. Jason was glad he could be part of her day and to top things off to see all the artifacts from Pearl Harbor was amazing! Sarajane's favorite part was the simulator hehe.
We are OVER THE MOON proud of Jason for this recent selection. It is hard to explain how moving up in ranks work, especially within specific MOS's (jobs) in the Marine Corps. Essentially, you attend courses/trainings, build good recorp with others, instill leadership characteristics, among 1,000 other things!
Well, Jason wasn't "in zone" or slated to pick up according to the numbers ahead (for time served). We figured he would pick up easily next year and so we planned accordingly. Well, to our surprise he was selected as a Master Sergeant. It is just a testament that all he is doing MATTERS. All the extra things he completes along with the many awards for doing so well are being recognized along with his continual leadership qualities.
Words cannot express how proud we are of him!
This past week the KBay Fire Dept came by with their trucks and allowed the ASYMCA kids to tour them;) James loved all of it, except sitting in the high seat, obviously hehe.
On Thursday, we hosted the West kiddos while their parents went to the ball and had an overnight date. Love that our children get along famously and enjoy each other so much;)
Happy Birthday Marines! Jason and I were able to attend the ball this year! It was at Waikiki, gorgeous location. Jason always looks so handsome in his uniform. So proud of this guy and I feel so lucky that I'm his forever date to these events. We had such a great time; huge thanks to the West family for taking our crew for the evening.
Afterward, we drove along the beach and came across this fire show. Super neat!
