FIF for Dec. 2nd

My goal for this week is to get all of our Christmas decorations up and plan a place for the tree. Not sure if we can do it but we'll try:)

FIF for Nov. 25.. BLACK FRIDAY

Last week for my FIF, Jason and I joined forces to venture out on Black Friday in search for a new TV. Our TV in our room hasn't worked in months and we had the mentality if we get one for less than $300 than great, if not no worries. We didn't want to spend more than that. So, Jason's sister Jannell and I went to Target at 8pm to wait in line until it opened at midnight. Her family went to wait in line at Best Buy for a TV. Jason stayed at the house until the boys fell asleep then joined the whole gang in the line at about 11. We were about 65th in line and were starting to wonder if we were going to get the TV. It was a 46 inch on sale for $298.00 which was close to our limit. The doors opened at midnight and Jason and I walked in. He was literally two feet in front of me. When I reached him, all the TV's were gone! To our surprise however, we got one and Jason was dragging it to the register (so did my brother in law David and his daughter Andraya helped the couple behind us get one as well. We got through the doors at about 12:02 and he checked out at 12:06. We also got a few other things that I am sure will be wrapped under the tree for Christmas (watch for upcoming posts). I would have to say this year was a complete success.

Andraya's Birthday (VIDEO)

On Sunday, Andraya turned 12, so we had a big family meal at Susan and Stephen's. We visited, ate slow cooker, sang Happy Birthday (Jax touched one of the candles; funny to see Andraya's reaction just before he touched one) and eat cake, and watched her open presents. Not to mention, we watched Josh and Jax just waller all over the Tam kids... too cute!

Sacramento Temple

On Saturday the 26th, we left the boys with the Tam girls and most of the family headed down to Sacramento for Nick's endowment. Nick will leaving for the MTC (Mission Training Center in Provo) at the end of Dec. to serve the Lord on a mission in Ohio. We are so very proud of him!

It was a wonderful opportunity to serve in the house of the Lord. Jason and I celebrate our 2 year sealing anniversary on 27th. It was so fitting, and we would like to do this every year if we can, to go to the temple as a reminder of the covenants we made with each other and the Lord. What a great way to spend an anniversary huh?

Brother/Family Pic attempts

Let me just say this, trying to get a almost 1 yr and a 2 yr. old to stay still and smile for a picture is like trying to drive with no gas in the tank. You will see what I am talking about throughout the series of pictures. However, with the help of my in laws, we did manage to get some good ones. The new pic at the top of the blog header is the one we selected as our family photo for our Christmas cards, and the first pic of the boys on this blog is the photo we also choose for the Christmas card. A big thanks to Linda and Butch for letting us use their home as a backdrop for our family pics.

Thanksgiving tradition I guess....

Last year for Thanksgiving, we spent it with Joe, Nina, and Iva up at in TN. It was our last day their and Jax's Uncle Joe put him on the pool table in the loft game area. He loved it! As our luck would have it, Susan and Stephen also had a pool table downstairs and Josh loved it. I guess having a pool table around for Thanksgiving is a must?:)

Thanksgiving

On Thursday, we all gathered at Susan and Stephen's house for some good food. Jason's best friend from high school Kyle and his wife and kiddo Dylan came, his sister Janene, his sister Jannell and her husband David with their four children Nick, Marissa, Makayla, and Andraya, and his sister Jannett and her husband Willie and their daughter Katy. It was wonderful having so much family around. Hope all is you had a blessed Thanksgiving full of love and friendship.

Jason and I have been so blessed throughout our marriage. Who could ask for more!
