"Arachnophobia
is a specific phobia, the fear of spiders
and other arachnids such as scorpions.
Symptoms and effect
People with arachnophobia tend to feel uneasy in any area they believe could harbor spiders or that
has visible signs of their presence, such as webs. If arachnophobics see a spider, they may not enter the
general vicinity until they have overcome the panic attack that is often associated with their phobia. Some
people scream, cry, have trouble breathing, have excessive sweating or even heart trouble when they come in contact with
an area near spiders or their webs. In some extreme cases, even a picture or a realistic drawing of a spider can also trigger
fear."
Most of you know that I am TERRIFIED of spiders; the description above nails it to the T on how I react! I really am so scared of them; big small whatever!
I really tried hard to overcome my fears in middle school (I held a tarantula) and other times when we were at the zoo or other locations
with spiders, but I just can't hack it. It does bother me that I am so scared of them.
So when I went out to the garage today to get ready for our walk and I found this creature, it literally scared me so bad I scared poor Jax. Knowing I did want it to bite my kids or in the house, I gathered my composure and put on Jason's boats and with spider spray I tracked it down and sprayed it first then stepped on it. It was something I hate doing, Jason usually kills the spiders for me.
