Windy Hike

For Scouts, Jax had to complete a mile hike.  We decided to hike around the lake and around the levy.  Here is our very attractive windy pic....but regardless great job Jax!

Planter Boxes Spring 2018

Jason made these planter boxes for me this spring/summer for yumminess :)  We will see what we can grow:)

Pics taken two weeks after transplant....didn't get a pic of when I first put them in, but all have grown, the basil is the only one that is having a bit of trouble.

Planted Strawberries, tomatoes, parsley, lavender, and basil.

Double D Ranch (VIDEOS)

Jason was invited by his MSgt to go turkey hunting.  He extended this invite to the Double D Ranch, which is a propular ranch in TX for hunters to hunt all sorts of animals, even exotics.  This past hunting season, some of the Denver Broncos hunted there.  He had a blast.  Here are some of the pics he took:)

A few days later, we went on a hike and saw this.....amazing how much wildlife there is around here!

"Read to Me" Field Trip

Jax and his class, along with all the 2nd grade classes in San Angelo (20 schools!!) had a field trip on Friday at the Courthouse for the annual Read to Me event.  It was just PACKED!!!  They had Central HS Marching Band playing, along with members from the AF, and keynote speaker.  After the opening ceremonies, the classes got to go to MANY stations on the grounds where volunteers read to the kids.  They even had a station where the kids were given books.....Jax choose "Room on Broom" (Even though we have it already with our Halloween books, Jax wanted to read it whenever he wanted....cute boy.  He even picked out a CARS book for his brother.  SJ choose a princess book, go figure.)  Jax's class maybe had 15 different books read to them...some of which were my personal favorites!  Such a wonderful event.

Before they headed to courthouse, they played and had lunch at Unidad Park

He was so excited to see his sister:)

Jax and Daniel were best buds through the whole day:)
