Oh kids.... I love that kids are so simple. The simplest of things can entertain them for long spans of time. Today we dug up dinosaur fossils and played with water balloons on the trampoline:) Why can't we, as adults, be that simple? Why can't life be that simple for us? Oh to be a kid again:)
And just because....Love her smile!

Popeye the Sailor the Man
Not sure but for some reason this past weekend, Jason's arms swelled up so bad that he looked like he was eating himself too much spinach. Jason's folks were visiting and took some pics of him icing it up:)

Going the distance
Today Jason and I ran our first 5k. It was the annual Earth Day run they host on base. It was at the base Golf Course at 6 a.m.(dedicated yes!). It has been a long time since I have done anything remotely close to that and I wanted to prove that I could do it after three children. Thank goodness for Jason who does pt more often than I do, he got me through it. Now if that wasn't enough afterward we took the boys up to Joshua Tree and did a three mile hike around Split Rock. So I would have to say that today the Dennis family definitely went the distance!
Check it out.....
My Mom has a colleague who makes these really cool scarfs (and other things) that are decorative but made with the fabric used to clean phones, computer screens, you name it. It is really neat. My Mom has one and she really likes it. Here is his website, if you are interested you should check it out!

Easter Day
Easter is a very special time. It is a treasured celebration of our Savior Jesus Christ and his sacrifice. In our faith we focus on the Resurrection of Christ and that through him and the Atonement, we can repent and have our slates wiped clean. What a precious gift. I had to teach in Relief Society a week ago and the lesson was on the Sacrament. Joesph F. Smith likened it to the Crucifixion and the Atonement. It is very sad to think of the pain our Savior went through in the Garden of Gethsemane and the Crucifixion; but he did it knowing what would come. He truly is such a shining light for us in the darkest of places. I am truly thankful for his sacrifice and love for me, for you, for everyone.
We had a surprise for Easter, Jason was suppose to work but he was able to come home! So we got to enjoy all of the day together as a family. First, we saw what the Easter Bunny brought us, ate our Easter cereal while watching The Easter Bunny is Coming to Town (a childhood favorite of mine), put on our new Easter outfits for church, enjoyed church (great lessons!), came home for lunch and a nap, colored eggs, made dinner; had Sister missionaries over for dinner, ate and talked, then cleaned-up and bedtime. It truly was a great day as a family. Here are some pics from the day. Hope all of you had a blessed Easter!
