He was home about a week from the Philippines just to turn around and head back to the mainland for a conference. Long days filled with meetings, but he was able to enjoy being back in TX. So glad it was only for a week, we miss having this guy around.
Happy Mother's Day!
I sure got spoiled today. The kids flowered me (literally) with gifts, cards, and snuggles. They catered to me all day and made me feel super special. I truly am so lucky to be the Momma of these four crazies. And I know at times it is hard and it may seem like things never calm down, but I wouldn't change it for anything! I am so thankful for them and the beautiful, unique souls that they are.
To my Momma, I love you more than I could ever express. You raised me to be the Mother that I am today and I can never truly repay you for that! Wishing I could celebrate today with you and give you the biggest hug!
To My Mother is Law, Mom thank you for raising such an amazing man that I am lucky enough to call husband and father to our children. Your efforts shine through him daily and we are so blessed with his strong example.
Before Jas left for TX, he asked SJ out on a date. The ASYMCA is putting on a Daddy/Daughter dance and we figured this would be perfect for them both! We were browsing Amazon one day and she came across this dress and fell in love with it. So Jas and I bought it for her and that's how he asked her. She was really excited. She post to come about the dance:)
The Elder's Quorum and youth put on a Mother's Day Dinner this past Saturday. The food was really yummy and they had two chocolate fountains to boot. They had a whole program filled with musical/dancing numbers and a slideshow from the Youth and Primary. I particularly liked Jax's answer with "What would be your Mom's super power"....his response, she would have Loki's powers since that is her favorite Marvel character (sidenote: he is the God of mischief hehe). Such a lovely way to start Mother's Day.
Joshua along with the rest of the youth went to the Laie Temple this past Friday to perform baptisms. This was Joshua's first time and we are so proud of his decision to go. We prepared 8 family names (4 from my side and 4 from Jason's side) to take which is also such a blessing. The whole family decided to go and while the boys were in the temple, we ventured to the Polynesian Culture Center Market and ate some malasadas!
At KIS this year, they had a May Day festival- the first one in FIVE years! Jax was a little nervous about the arm motions, but stuck it out and did a great job....as did all that participated. The heat was INSANE but so glad that we were able to make it.
