First Day of School 2018

First Day of 3rd and 2nd Grade at Belaire Elementary and first day of PreK at Glenmore Elem.!  The kids did great and each had wonderful days...Mommy had a few tears and was beside herself having the house empty.  So proud of these kiddos!  You are going to rock this 2018-2019 school year!

No outside pics this year....it was still dark when we headed out to the bus stop.

The boys are riding the bus this year....they were super excited, Mom not so much.  I followed the bus to the school just to make sure they got in the school ok....yeah I am that Mom.  Turns out this bus is strictly for the military kids and has no stops between here and the school.  So maybe I shouldn't panic!

Walking into the school....they didn't see me or SJ

Almost to the cafeteria
SJ was super pumped for PreK...no tears!

She was excited to see me afterward
The boys are home.....the housing area handed out Popsicles and pencils to all the kids.  Super sweet!

Mommy made cookies as an after school snack!

School haircuts

The boys were OVERLY due for fresh haircuts!  Such handsome boys:)  Now they are styling for school.

Before.....

Josh was 1st

 Handsome boy
 Now Jax's turn

 So much better!
 After...ready for school

Coloring contest win

At the vision center at Walmart, they were doing a coloring contest for school supplies.  Winners would receive a special prize.  They had so many kids enter that they decided to give each kiddo a balloon and cookie, then chose a winner from each age group that got candy, pencils, crayons, and sunscreen bands.  Jax, Josh, and Sarajane were the winners for their ages yeah!  Sadly, I forgot to take pic of their coloring pages:(

Meet and Greet- Jax and Josh

Monday evening, we took the boys to their meet and greet at Belaire Elem.  Both were super excited to see who their teacher was and get familiar with their classrooms.  Josh will have Mrs. Attaway for 2nd and Jax will have Mrs. Rodriguez (SIDE-NOTE CHANGE: Tuesday evening, the Principal from Belaire called me and informed me that Mrs. Rodriguez was in the ER and wouldn't be returning to full days until the doctor cleared her.  She asked if we could have Jax changed into Mrs. Land's class instead of having a temp sub.  I was so appreciative of her consideration of Jax.  It didn't bother Jax at all, he had more friends in his new class.  So a win!).  Both were super eager to get into a routine!  Here's to a great 2018-2019!

(Will post a pic of Jax with Mrs. Land when I get a chance:))

Swim Lessons Summer 2018

We had swim lessons a bit late this summer.  The kids were OVERLY anxious to start.  All three did a WONDERFUL job.  We were so impressed with their progress and the skills they acquired in such a short time.  Here are some favorites...Jax (jumping in the deep end 9/7 ft to get torpedoes and rings), Josh (he was all about DIVING), and Sarajane (learning how to swim WITHOUT her floaties and jumping into the deep end!)

This is the look we get when swim lessons are canceled due to rain....

They LOVED their teachers!  They passed!
