Joshua Stats

We took Josh to the doctor today for his 3 yr well check up.  Here are his current stats (I also put them on his 3 yr. post as well)

I think that the nurse doing his stats got things a bit wrong.  She initially got 41.93 lbs. for his weight and 45.42 (about 3'8") inches for his height.  I knew that that sounded a bit off because Jax is about that height and Josh is clearly shorter than Jax (not by much).  So when I got home I did the stats.  Our scale is about 2 lbs off so when I weighed him (directly after the apt) he weighed about 45.5 lbs (so 43.5 lbs) and I measured him at 3'6 1/4".  So I guess she was a bit off???  Who knows.  Regardless, his stats are still off the chart for his age.  He is 99% percentile for each.  So I am gonna go with the estimates:

Weight: 43 lbs
Height:  3' feet 6" inches

Josh did have to get two shots (which I thought he was caught up:(.... the Hep and Flu Shot.  Jason was able to take him in for that, so that was good on Mommy.  Jason said he was so brave and barely cried.  When they came out, he was all smiles:)

I used the same height predictor to see where he was at, and it says that he will be 6'6''.  Who knows with those things right?  But still it is fun to see the "what ifs".

The boys got bikes! (VIDEO)

The boys got bikes from mommy and daddy this year ( Jason bought them on black Friday and we've been hiding them ever since). Here are some pictures from their first day of riding bikes. Jax was a natural and almost ready for no training wheels. Josh is figuring out and is equally excited!

The party continues... (VIDEO)

I am 3!

After their naps on the day of the party we continued the celebration of Josh's birthday.  Josh decided he wanted pizza for dinner, so we ate some pizza and salad, then sang Happy Birthday with ice cream, opened presents (just Josh), then had both boys open their presents from the party.   the boys also got their Big presents from Mommy and Daddy (will do a separate post of that later) which we have been hiding since Nov.!

The boys are so blessed with great, fun friends and loving family.  We thank everyone for the birthday wishes and presents!  To the next year my four year old Jaxers and three year old Joshers!

To me, he looks too old in this picture!  Want my baby boy back:(

Jax and Joshua's Pirate Party

Today we had a birthday party for Jax and Josh.  They had tons of friends come and play for the afternoon.  They chose a pirate theme for this year's party, so everything had a piratey feel to it.  This year, I wanted to keep the party budget low, so everything was made from basic household items.  Here are some pictures from the party.  They both had a lot of fun:)

The Invite... Message in a Bottle

Message that is in the Bottle
Party costume favors; hooks made from aluminum foil and red dixie cups, telescopes made from toilet/paper towel rolls and left over wrapping paper from Christmas, and eye patches that I printed off line and punched holes through and laced with black yarn.

Party Favors filled with fun little treasures
Food Display... Jax loves being in pictures, so you'll see him a lot

Cupcakes I decorated to "look" like pirates

Multi colored Goldfish as SHARK BAIT

Jello Bowls; blue jello for the sea, orange slice with toothpick with pirate sail that represents a ship
I ordered offline from a T-shirt outlet (SUPER CHEAP!) two pirate shirts for the boys for their party.  You will see them in them in the pictures.  Enjoy:)
Sarajane joined in the piratey fun with her ARGH onesie!

As the party was coming to an end, a scavenger hunt began.  They were looking for lady bugs... it was a great hit!
