P-19 Visit

Jas arranged one of his P-19’s to come and visit for Community Helpers month. The kids were super excited;)

Odd tidbit, while we were outside a bird came and landed on my shoulder. Total domesticated bird that got out of his cage. He was my buddy for about ten minutes until his owner was found. Once in a lifetime experience huh?

Jax Robotics Tournament

Jax along with his team the Dinobots competed this past Friday in their district tournament. Although they did not place, they had a great showing and were granted as one of the alternates to the State tournament. About two days after that, they received a formal invite and are BEYOND excited;)!

He was on his tip toes and making fun of how short I am Hehe

Dia de Los Muertos

Honoring our Family on November 1st and 2nd.... sharing stories and eating favorite foods of our family.  We aren't Catholic or Latino, however I LOVE this family tradition.  Genealogy is SO important and I think this is one great one to celebrate FAMILY and what a great introduction to the month of THANKFULNESS AND FAMILY!

Sj did this in her Spanish class at school:)

Bye bye Crib

James has been sleeping in one of the bunk beds for quite some time now, but we haven't had the heart to break down the crib and get rid of it.  Finally, after delaying it, we both realized that someone else could use it more than us.  It has been loved by four kiddos and traveled across country and across the ocean.  It was however bittersweet.  I did have Jason cut off a piece from the railing (trust me it didn't ruin the crib or make it so another would not be able to use it safely) to keep as a memento and frame pics in (post to come) .... yep, I've that sappy.  I did cry when he was taking it apart and I cried again when we gave it away.  I remember when Jas first put it together for Jax....literally days before he was born.  Thanks for hosting our sweet babies while they were little!

ASYMCA Breakfast

As a staff member of the ASYMCA, we assisted putting together a breakfast to honor military families.  It was an EARLY event but great to spend time with my colleagues in a more low key setting.

My colleagues let me keep this for Jas promotion;)
